1.
Instant access to the necessary information
The unique
scheme of storing dictionary metadata in a separate repository and their
analytical processing provide instantaneous (!) access to the necessary
information about any of the used databases.
The comfort
of being able to instantly obtain the necessary information grows in a
geometric progression as the number of managed databases increases.
Regardless of the number of databases and their statuses (operational or
not), it will take you seconds to find out what you need to start working
without connecting to the database and running any queries!
2.
Database monitoring
Database
registration and the start of the monitoring process take mere minutes. You
don’t need to install any agents or configure any database scripts. No
complex
settings!
If
necessary, you can easily add your own monitoring scripts to the system,
receive messages from other monitoring systems and configure the
delivery of reports and notifications.
3.
Automation of routine operations
DBA Easy
Control allows you to create a list of SQL expressions for each of the
automated tasks and then run them manually or use the system task planner to
run them at a specified time.
The
advantage of automation is obvious even if you have a relatively small
number of tasks for user creation, distribution of access privileges and
other regular tasks. All these tasks can be completed even by Oracle rookies
that have no deep knowledge of SQL syntax and don’t even have passwords! It
enables you to delegate tedious routine tasks to night shifters, which
substantially cuts operation expenses and frees up a lot of personal and
night :) time!
4.
Change log
An
ability to see the log of database changes is vital for analyzing
non-standard situations - crashes, unauthorized access, data and object
corruption; for restoration of parameters and privileges; for creating
various forecasts and so forth. The time accuracy of the logged information
depends only on the selected monitoring frequency. No other audit settings
needed!
5.
Storage of documents and descriptions
All
documents are stored in a single system repository and can be accessed by
all system users. All information about the database infrastructure is saved
and updated automatically. All you need to do, if you wish, is to add
comments that will stay in the system even if the database is not available
or its structure is changed!
The
system is easy to install and use. Adding a database to the system does not
require the installation of any agents. The created service schemes contain
no objects and only have access to the data needed to perform the specified
tasks.
The
system is based on a server-client architecture that facilitates team work
and allows you to restrict access to representations and functional
capabilities. The solution is scalable and supports a large number of
databases. |
